A family living in a tall building, consisting of Mr. (Chow Chi-Fai) and Mrs. Li (Carol Tam) as well as their son, is mourning the sudden loss of Mr. Li's mother (Candy Hau) who died in mysterious circumstances. Soon what is just a normal evening turns into something worse and creepy when the family believe their apartment are bring haunted by none other than the dead mom, but due to a strange man named Leon (Stephen Chow) and a woman named Kwan (Karen Mok), whole haunting thing turns theout to be staged by their naughty son. Leon ends up getting into an accident during the prevalence, leaving him with supernatural powers and put into a mental hospital for being a lunatic. Meanwhile a security captain of the building, named Lu (Lo Hung) gets approached by the dead mom and is about to hear the truth of her death when Mr. Li catches them in act and decides to kill Lu to silence the truth. Lu ends up being chased by both the Li parents but fortunately Leon and Kwan, who just got out from the mental hospital, show up and are able to kill them and save Lu. But when they think it's over, the spirits of the Lis are unleashed to take revenge on Leon for what he did for them, leaving him and his formed gang ghost busters; including Kwan, Lu and his men (Wong Yat-Fei is one ofof them) preparing to destroy the spirits for good.
